If money were no object, like if I won the Lotto Max on Friday, before I worried about buying a bigger house, I would travel. And probably buy an new outfit.
If I went to London (which I of course would at some point) I would have to stop at the infamous Harrods department store. I would try on labels I usually only look at when they are on sale. Like Victoria Beckham (she sure has left Posh Spice in the dust eh?), Alexander Wang and Moschino Cheap & Chic.
The team at Harrods ask me to come up with a Fall Refresh Wish list I happily obliged.
The first of the 3 ways in which you can refresh your fall look is to go with something Quirky Cool. The Moschino sweater is playing on two fall trends. One anything cat related (which might have started with those Charlotte Olympia kitty flats) and slogan sweaters. This one is tongue in cheek in all the right ways.
The dress from Moschino again plays on two trends. The mirror print which we usually see mirroring some sort of flora, this time around it is fauna. Consider this a fun new play on the whole animal print trend!
My love affair with Alexander Wang started with the Rocco Duffle Bag. But it has evolved to include his easy city sleek separates. I included the grey sweater for the details more so than because it is a go with everything grey sweater. The neckline is slightly u shaped making it more flattering than a standard crew neck. The asymmetrical hem takes it from being just another grey sweater to the coolest grey sweater on the block.
This might be the year of the biker jacket. They will be (should be?) worn on everyone this year in a variety of fabrics including the ever classic black leather. This Alexander Wang number adds to its cool factor by pairing black & navy.
Posh Spice no more, Victoria Beckham has moved beyond the ranks of celebrity fashion designer to a fashion force to be reckoned with. Her bags are just as covet-able as her dresses. Luxurious, classic with a twist makes these investment bags worthy of multi-season wear.
The beauty is I don’t have to leave the couch to do some Harrods window shopping, even still I would so rather be there in person.
What would you refresh your fall wardrobe with from Harrods?
