Here’s to 60 Years and a Wrap Dress

I am starting something new on the blog to shamelessly self promote another one of my endeavors.

Part whim, part calculated decision, I signed up to be a Stella & Dot Stylist. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Stella & Dot they are a modern take on a social selling company like Mary Kay, Avon and Tupperware.

I saw it as an excuse to start calling up all my friends to make plans and get out of the house more often, sans kids.

And I won’t bore you with how wonderful the company is and how supportive the network of women is, what it comes down to is I just really like the product.

Much like the affiliate links you see to the clothing and brands I wear, you will be seeing alot more of Stella & Dot incorporated into my outfit posts.

My Husband’s Grandparents have been married for 60 years and we went out to his Aunt’s house in Pickering to celebrate. Through the night there were a few toasts and one drew attention to how amazing 60 years together really is. Neither of my Grandparents got the pleasure of celebrating this milestone. And not because their marriages didn’t last but because on both sides of my family I have on Grandparent that passed.

Nevertheless I thought the occasion deserved a dress.

I paired my BCBG Wrap dress with the Stella & Dot Femme Fatale necklace. This necklace is one of those items that is both kind of edgy and beautiful at the same time. And totally plays on the chunky links that we have been seeing alot of lately in jewellery.

I wanted to try a look that put together a dress with black tights and black booties and this is what I got.
