Houndstooth coat outfit

I have been looking for a houndstooth coat that was a wrap style. I also wanted it to be bold enough without the print being super oversized. I think this one fits the bill.

The coat is oversized. I bought the coat in an XL because it is from Abercrombie and I just assume their clothing fits small. I could have easily have gotten a large and still would have been oversized just not so much.

I would say this houndstooth coat fits true to size if you want something slightly oversized. Size up for a more oversized look. Size down for a more fitted look.

As much as the coat is big and oversized it allows for sweaters. And I know I say this quite a bit but living in a cold country means layers are needed! And so many coats don’t offer the room for layering up, especially in the sleeves. I actually like the overall look and the belt allows you to cinch the coat to your liking.

There is a back vent, drop sleeves and a large collar. The coat is lined but there is no additional padding. Still the wool is a nice heavy weight. It is significantly warm to make it through the darkest part of the winter.
