One of my favourite walls in our whole house is my view from my bed. In 2011 I picked up some jewellery organizers and they have made my life easier in so many ways.
First I just love to look at it; the jewellery is like a work of art on display. But more importantly because I see my jewellery out in the open everyday I am more likely to put it on and experiment with more than the same old pair of earings or necklace.
Second it has a place. It has somewhere to go and therefore isn’t lying around or getting crammed into a too small jewellery box. I don’t have to worry about detangling necklaces.
And so I look at this corner of my bedroom and wonder how I can apply that to the rest of the house. Because lets face it I have 2 kids and am not a neat freak so we live in what seems like the aftermath of a tornado. A 3-year-old female tornado… but I digress.
Part of being organized is having somewhere to put things. Determining their place and continuing to put them there. Whether that is a basket for towels in the bathroom or a rack for shoes by the door.
So for 2012 I am inspired by the small pockets of my house that is organized to get more organized.
