I have been living in Toronto for 10 years now and this is the first time I have been to High Park. I have always been amazed by the pictures of the Cherry Trees and thought I needed to go and check it out. Somehow I was under the impression that there were feilds of cherry blossoms blooming but really it is just a tree lined path. And the blossoms were almost over while I was there but it still made for a pretty photo session.
This leather pleated midi skirt is actually wonderful for spring. It is light and airy which are two things leather skirts usually aren’t. The pleats allow for alot more comfort that your typical slim pencil skirt style.
What I also like about the weight of the leather is you don’t have any of those embarrassing windswept skirt moments that can happen with lighter floaty skirts. On the flip side you probably won’t catch me wearing this skirt in the dead heat of the summer.
Outfit details: Jean Jacket JCREW Factory, Stripe tee Banana Republic, Leather pleated midi skirt Asos, Sandals Gryson.
How are you wearing leather in spring?

With your experience in the past from ordering items from ASOS, how were the customs charges for shipping to Toronto?

Hey Sophia,
It depends on how much you spend. I have found that if I keep my order around $100 or less I have had no duty charges. Only 1 time have I been charged and my order was closer to $150. If you are ordering more than one item I would definitely split them up.

haha I'm glad you found a solution to our Marilyn Monroe moments!! There's nothing more annoying than fighting the wind to keep our skirts down! xo V.

Love that skirt! I have had SUCH a tough time finding non mini/pencil skirts this season (I know, I know... #fashionbloggerproblems). I need to try Asos!

Asos and Topshop actually have a pretty large selection of midi skirts so totally the way to go. I find that North American stores are really not doing it ...
