Mules were the breakout shoes of last summer. I have a strong feeling they are going to continue to be popular for 2018. The Gucci slides are still seen on all the style stars even through the cold months. Knockoffs abound too but I find I am drawn to pointier, sleeker styles. I personally like how they work well for the office and for weekend when I want to dress up my denim. This is how to wear Mules.
Shop the Mules:
- Everlane Modern Babo – I bought and returned this pair of mules. Not because I didn’t like them but because I got the sizing wrong. Many of Everlanes most popular shoes fit small and I size up. These shoes are true to size so don’t size up otherwise they will be too big and sloppy looking.
- The Gemma Mule – I own this pair and I can say they are very comfortable. The sole is also non slip which is great.
- Leive woven leather slippers – I love the woven detail on these. Makes them so much more interesting. The white would be great with dresses for summer.
- Tae Mule – This mule has edge. All the studs are pretty fantastic.
- Shiloh flat mule – Black and nude seem to reign supreme when it comes to mules but this blue suede is pretty awesome too.
- Marli point toe mules – For summer I am really digging these woven styles. These are much more dainty looking compared to the version above.
- The Lana Mule – These have more of a western feel and more of a heel than many of the other styles shown here. I actually really like this style. It would work well if you are into boho style outfits.
- Capri Mule – I have seen so much love for this mule on social media. It isn’t as pointy as some of the other styles but totally wearable.
All these styles are totally cute but now you might be thinking but how to wear mules? How would you style them? I share two ways to wear mules outfits below.
How to wear Mules Outfits
- Silk Studio Ruffle Hem top – I love this pretty top with edgier pieces like the mules and jacket.
- Cropped leather jacket – loving the colour of this jacket and that it could easily go with either outfit.
- Celine Marta Sunglasses – I own these sunglasses they are my absolute faves.
- Slim Straight Jeans – These jeans are a great classic wash and style.
- Petite Alice – I still love these bags for summer. This mini style is totally wearable.
- Ruffled floral print silk dress – This boho style dress will go great with the woven mules.
- The Lana Mule – I had a black mule similar to this last year and I wore it to death. Not just with jeans but with skirts and dress pants for work too.
- Marli point toe mules – this woven style is more delicate and feminine. Perfect for summer and summer dresses.
What do you think of mules? Will you be sporting this style this year? How will you style them?
