The longer the winter goes on the more reasonable it seems to me to invest in another coat. Especially one that I have been thinking about since the fall.
I missed out on the pale blue Zara coat that was released earlier this season and lamented not being quick enough until I made the move on this Asos version. I am sure I could have scoured the vintage shops for something similar, authentic and ultimately more unique but this was so much easier.
Even though I am regularly found wearing my parka for the school run, it is way too warm for the car or anything that involves going inside and out. Something lighter like this mohair coat is perfect for a run to the mall or errands.
I am hoping that the winter ends before I fall in love with any more coats. I don’t care how on sale or awesome. All I know is that it is hard to wear the same coat over and over again all winter, especially when the winter is so LONG. In fact this winter saw the demise of my Sorel winter boots after 5 years.
I am not sure why but this pale blue spoke to me more than the bevvy of pink coats that have been seen everywhere this year. I just felt like I would want to wear this coat more in 5 years than I would something pink so for me it was a better investment.

LOVE the blue coat but I bought a camel one so I missed the trend. I HATE WINTER right now.
