It was #damncold Sunday morning. In fact the furnace actually kicked in overnight from Saturday to Sunday morning. It was single digits!
But I am not going to complain because I have been wishing for layering weather for about a month, and finally I think we are really getting it.
When I bought the chunky grey cocoon sweater seen above and in last weeks post I envisioned belting it. I don’t know what it is with me right now but I want to belt everything.
It is practical with these types of open sweaters to keep them closed on colder days but it also looks a bit more finished off no?
I have a love hate relationship with these Frye boots pictured here. I have had them for 3 years so they are perfectly broken in but the left boot and I regularly struggle. It’s like a battle of wills to pull the boot on. You see there is no zipper, they just pull on and somehow I have done something to that boot that sometimes it takes like 3 trys to get my heel in properly. Sometimes I admit defeat, other times the left boot goes on with no trouble at all. I have at times considered giving up on them and getting a new pair that has more of an almond toe and is even a bit taller. But then I think, dude you have a perfectly good pair of boots, just put them on.
I hope you had a great weekend. We had a busy saturday that involved cleaning up the backyard a bit. I spent a bunch of time cutting back vines and have cleared out another spot to do outfit pictures.
Sunday I didn’t do much at all other than hang out with my kids, do laundry and get back into doing my workout.
I know what you are thinking. I want her life, it’s so glamorous and exciting.
And now for the outfit details.
Outfit details: Chunky sweater and layering top Joe Fresh, Grey jeans Banana Republic (similar under $50), Frye Boots (similar), belt Linea Pelle (similar).
How did you dress for the cooler temps this weekend?

[...] I tried them on. First the half zip thingy worked wonders. Remember my other black boots and how hard they are to get on, this alleviates that whole process. I did have to work a bit to pull them up the first time, and [...]
