I have had the JCREW Wool Cashmere Icon Trench for a while now and I thought it might make sense to share my review.
I got the JCREW Wool Cashmere icon trench in red. I chose the straight size as I wanted it to be as long as possible. This wool trench is a few inches longer than the standard cotton trench from JCREW. I prefer the longer length as it looks a bit more dramatic.
The coat is double breasted. I usually prefer single breasted but this works.
The amount of cashmere is pretty low but it does provide a softer wool than that which is not blended. And it does feel more luxurious than a polyester wool blend.
The red colour is so vibrant. I love it. But if you wanted a more classic look the camel colour is great too.
I am also able to fit some of my chunkier knit sweaters in this coat which is a refreshing change. The arms, particularly the upper arms are generous without being too large. Unlike so many coats which don’t allow for layers this one meets that need.
The belt on the JCREW Icon Trench is longer than it needs to be if you are just belting the coat. It seems to be more designed to tie it which I like to do anyways. In fact you could do that half bow JCREW is famous for with this belt.
I also like the back vent detail which I have pictures of in this post. It allows for extra room if you have an ample backside which works for a more hourglass body type.
Outfit details: JCREW wool Trench, hat via Winners, scarf Zara (similar), jeans 7fam, boots Matisse, bag Opelle.
What do you think of the JCREW Wool Cashmere Icon Trench review? Is this a coat you are considering buying?
