This is the time of year when I start incorporating dresses into my wardrobe again. I don’t wear them through the winter it is just too cold. But I love a dress for the warmer months because they look more pulled together than shorts and they are breezy and cool. Kaftans in cotton or linen are my favourite for summer because they are light and airy.
I picked up two similar but different kaftans. One of the biggest differences were the price. The one on the left is sold out already but it was under $100. The one on the right is more expensive but it is fully lined.
Since these kaftans sell out quickly I linked some of my other favourites above.
The H&M Kaftan as I mentioned is already sold out. In fact they released this in blue before this bold pink option and both have sold out. You need to pounce on these when they pop up on their website because they are never there for long. It is linen and I have it in the Large. It is very generous in size. The sleeves are also longer and the belt is longer. It is not lined.
This second option is from Emerson Fry and is made of organic cotton. It is fully lined so safer to wear beyond poolside. The sizing is less inclusive though I am in the M/L. It is still roomy which is reassuring. The sleeves are more a cropped length. There is room to move the buttons too which is a higher end detail. I wish the belt was longer.
I wore dresses like this so much last summer I am glad to add a couple more to my wardrobe for more variety. I also tend to switch out the belts depending on if I am wearing them out for errands versus just at the beach or the pool.
