After a day at work in my dress clothes, which I love having a reason to wear everyday, I switch into something more comfortable. Something more wash and wear. Something easy.
So when Toronto based LAZYPANTS asked me if I wanted to try out their line of premium sweatpants I said heck yea!
But then I started to worry. How do I style sweatpants? I mean I am not some tall, lanky athlete type that can pull off sweats and look all sporty and cool.
And then I decided I would keep it real. Sweatpants are not for styling. They are for being comfortable. They are what you wear when you are going outside to play with your kids in the snow. So I put on my parka and my snowboots and left it at that.
So do LAZYPANTS live up to the most comfortable sweatpants ever description? Well they are pretty darn comfortable. They are extra long, so great for taller people. At 5’4 I am not one of these people so I do have bunching at the bottom but when I see how the models are styled on the website I think that is to be expected. Still there is elastic at the ankle so the pants don’t drag or anything which is great.
The fit is loose and relaxed which is definitely in line with the LAZYPANTS mantra. So much more comfy than the skinny sweats that are so common right now.
The waist is a bit shorter than the typical sweat pant but I think that works well as the fit is nicer.
There are no pockets which keeps the fit more streamlined so aesthetically speaking it is great.
The fleece is really what does it for me though. The quality is far superior to my cheap $20 sweat pants, which shrank like crazy after a few washes. LAZYPANTS have not shrunk and the fleece is still super soft even though I did put the pants in the dryer.
In the scheme of things LAZYPANTS are expensive, but the quality is there to justify the price. AND they are Made in Canada. You can find LAZYPANTS at Sporting Life, TNT & Kitson stores.

These are bar none, the worst purchase I've ever made. They shrank after I washed them, their customer service was terrible.

Maddie it is too bad that you had such a negative experience. I have washed my pair many times and even put them in the dryer (which they do not recommend) and mine have not shrunk. Not noticeably anyways as they are still quite long for me. But then I expect some shrinkage from all clothing I wash and then put in the dryer.

I almost always change into *comfort* clothes when I am home. And I agree, you can definitely feel the difference between cheaper, thinner sweats vs nicer ones like Roots, for instance. You look really cute, cozy and stylish in your pics! But I'm even shorter than you, and while I don't mind a big of extra fabric at the bottom which looks good with your boots, not sure how it would look with sneakers. If they ever make petite sizing, I'd check them out for sure.

I wish they made petite sizing because that would be so great. Unfortunately they don't at this time.
