Le Rouge Givenchy Rose Taffetas Review

I have lot of bold shades of lipstick but not that one go to shade for a softer look. Nars Dolce Vita is a lovely “your lips but better” shade, however I find the lipstick is so sheer that unless I have full makeup on it just isn’t enough.

I was trolling the internet as I do and stumbled upon a review for Le Rouge Givenchy Rose Taffetas and thought this might be the colour to try.

First off the case is very luxe. But it is heavy so if you are already lugging around a heavy purse beware! Leather and studs; this lipstick is edgy and pretty. My kind of lipstick.

However that is leather inset in the case so if you are vegan or against leather you might want to try a different product.

The formulation is very creamy. It glides on easy and is very pigmented. You don’t need to apply much for the full effect of the colour.

The Rose Taffetas colour itself is a soft pink. Almost a ballerina pink but it is much warmer than many soft pinks that tend to feel a bit frosty with blue undertones. This is described as a coral pink but the coral is really understated which I like.

Personally I would say this shade would be great for day, or night if you are going to play up the eyes and don’t want an in your face lipstick shade. I would also say this would be a great pink lipstick shade for brides, it is so soft and pretty!

I almost bought the Rose Dentetelle which is a darker rose colour and I will be back to pick that up because I am so happy with this lipstick.
