Loft Geo Striped Lace Dress Review

I wanted to get this Loft Geo Striped Lace Dress review up before the Loft Friends & Family sale (40% off with the code SHAREIT) was over. It is a fun dress with a modern lace over a nude liner.

Loft clothing fits generously so consider that when you choose this dress. Still for girls with an hourglass figure will rejoice as the neckline isn’t too low that you are falling out all over the place or need a camisole to conceal the cleavage. At the same time there is enough room to fit comfortably on top without the dress looking pulled. I didn’t need to size down but at the same time the dress is not fitted or tight. If you want a more fitted look you might want to size down.

Unlike the picture online the skirt is not that streamlined. I find that it looks more A-line than a slim pencil skirt. I think it depends how flat the pleated details is sitting. Either there is more volume on larger sizes (I am wearing a 10) or the dress was pinned for the pictures posted on Loft’s website.

The dress nips nicely at the waist but unlike the fit and flare style doesn’t flare out on the skirt which I like because I have enough going on on my bottom half.

If you are looking for a black cocktail dress that can work for day or night this is a great option that has an interesting detail (the fabric). Flattering fit and can easily be dressed up (with bold jewellery and heels) or dressed down (add a jean jacket and sandals). This dress is very lightweight and I would say is priced about right especially if you can pick it up on sale.

I would have liked to take pictures of this dress on a warmer day to really show it off but alas I popped out when it was 10 degrees colder than the day before.

The Loft Friends & Family sale ends on Monday so make sure you take advantage of it while you can. Canadians many of the Loft sales are only available to us in store but this one does work for us online so load up those shopping carts instead of driving into Toronto.
