Madewell is one of my absolute favourite places to buy shoes. Their styles are always modern looking without being over the top trendy. They fit well and are comfortable. The construction also lasts and lasts. The Madewell Regan Boot Review will share why you need a pair of these boots in your wardrobe.
Madewell Regan Boot Review
The Madewell Regan Boot is a leather boot with a block heel. The heel height is 2.5 inches which is very walkable. It has an easy pull on style.
The Regan boot comes in two different leather options plus a suede and calf hair option. I have the leather calf hair version that seems to sell out and come back every year.
These boots are kind of a cross between a pointed toe and a rounded toe. Not quite as elongated as an almond toe. I do find them just pointy enough. They fit fairly true to size.
I find Madewell shoes are wide enough to accommodate my feet comfortably. They don’t fit too narrow. I did get these in an 8.5 but I could have gotten away with an 8 if I didn’t want any extra room for thicker socks.
The boots are lined in leather which elevates not only the quality but the comfort. Leather lining means that the boots can stretch to fit the foot more easily.
The ankle isn’t too tight either. I find this pull on style of boots can sometimes fit too close to the ankle. I prefer when boots are bit wider than the ankle as opposed to snug against it like these boots.
One of the things I really like about Madewell boots is that they put cushioning into the footbed. It just makes their shoes so much more comfy than the rest.
If you are looking for a walkable boot that is great quality and not quite pointy nor round the Regan is a great option.
They look good with flares and skinny jeans, even trousers for the office. It is one of those perfect work to weekend boots.
Since I have the leopard calf hair version I would definitely considered getting these in a second, more basic colour. That is a testament to a great boot.
