At the end of the summer I pulled the trigger on a bag I had been eyeing for a while. The Elisabetta Handbag from Mark and Graham is large top handle bag that is both structured and slouchy. I purchased the suede option but it also comes in leather and even a convertible top handle option. This is a classic forever bag. Read on for more of my Mark and Graham Elisabetta Handbag review.
Mark and Graham Elisabetta Handbag review
The Elisabetta handbag is made in Italy and the suede is gorgeous. There are metal feet on the bottom of the bag to keep it from sitting directly on the floor. There is a zippered section in the middle of the interior to keep things a bit more secure since the main part doesn’t close.
I do find this bag can be a bit of a black hole because it is quite large. Using the zippered compartment for items you want to know where they are at all times is really useful.
I said above that this bag is both structured and slouchy. How can this be exactly? I know you are thinking it. Well the bottom of the bag and the handles are quite structured. Whereas the rest of the bag is slouchy. This gives the perfect amount of slouch without the bag losing all integrity. Some hobo style bags need to be filled up to have any structure. This bag isn’t like that, it does hold some structure on its own.
What drew me to this bag is the colour. I love this chestnut brown colour. It is almost the colour of cinnamon. And the suede is really lovely too. I had a hard time choosing between this colour and the mushroom colour but since I already had a grey bag I went with the colour shown.
The price tag on this bag is kinda steep considering Mark and Graham isn’t a designer bag. But the quality is there even though Mark and Graham might not have the same name recognition as Rebecca Minkoff or Kate Spade which are in the same price range.
That said I get just as many compliments on this bag as I have on my Alexander Wang Rocco tote. Personally I like the suede on this bag better than the higher end designer bags I have in my closet.
If you are watching you can get the Elisabetta on sale. In fact it is on sale right now! Even better if you are signed up for the newsletter you might even be able to get it an extra 20% off of the sale price. These discounts make the bag much more affordable.
I have been focusing on the suede version for my Mark and Graham Elisabetta Handbag review but it does come in a wider array of colours in the leather. It also comes in a colour block leather and an option with a bamboo handle. You can also personalize these bags with your initials.
What do you think of the Mark and Graham Elisabetta Handbag review? Is this a bag you are thinking about buying?
