Minimalist style is all the rage right now. I can’t count how many instagram profiles I follow right now that only post outfits in a pallet of white, grey and black. And as much as I love colour there are times when I just want that minimalist vibe.
This long grey coat is just the ticket to create a minamalist look. It is longer than anything else I have in my closet which I think is perfect to change things up. I picked it up from Shein and I was pleasantly surprised not only with the quality but it also has a great fit. I ordered the large and it fits like a 10/12 in North American sizing.
I paired the coat with a bunch of black and white items. I think Old Navy’s shirts are really great right now. This window pane print is one of my favourites and is easy to wear to work as well as on the weekend. I am also wearing the Everlane Modern point flat. These shoes do not disappoint. Watch for a review soon. Of course I couldn’t create even a minimalistic pallet without a tad of colour. My Opelle Creative bag which has become my new fall favourite worked perfectly with this look.

What do you think of the long belted coat trend? For so long I felt like I was wearing a bathrobe in one but this one feels different. Not sure if it is because it is less bulky (but still warm and cozy) that makes the difference or that the other ones didn’t fit my frame as well. Either way I am on board, jumping in with two feet. Black and white pointed toes to be exact.
