The blogosphere has been blowing up about colour this spring. In fact many bloggers are calling out Mint as their favourite colour of the season.

I am really liking the reinvention of this colour that I had always associated with little old ladies and gum. Rather negatively I might add. But it seems to really work right now. My favourite looks have been the tone on tone mint green that have been shown here by This Time Tomorrow.
Why I think this mint trend is working so well right now is that it seems to have a winter feel as well as a spring feel. Think SpearMint. Yes we have been having a warm winter but Mint pairs well with winter whites and creams for a look that is both bright and seasonally approprate.
Still I am partial to yellow. Especially for spring. And the yellow trend for Spring 2012 runs from neon to soft pastels so there is something for everyone to try.

Yellow to me is less about transition from Winter to Spring but full on Spring Summer 2012. So far bloggers have been spotted in Yellow accessories but I predict plenty of yellow ensembles as the season develops.
