Some things in our wardrobes just lend themselves to be bought in mulitples. Underwear and socks for example. But what about the rest of what we wear? Truth be told I often don’t move fast enough to know I love something enough to buy it in multiples before it is sold out. So many stores offer a style once before it is gone for good. However some stores have certain styles that are produced over and over in different fabrics. Others have a core offering that doesn’t change, allowing you to buy again and again. Today I am sharing what clothing items I have in multiples in my closet.
This work outfit is made up of a few multiples I have in my closet and made me think about sharing these items that I love so much I bought more than once.
- Twist top – I have this top in two colours and wear it to the office regularly as it is the perfect weight to wear in AC and not freeze. It looks just as good with dress pants as it does with jeans. It is this versatility that brought me to buying it more than once. I can’t seem to find it in store so online ordering is a must.
- Italian GoWeave Easy Pant – I have just got these in this olive colour as I already have them in black and reviewed them here. I like how they are a slimmer trouser without being tight to the leg. The elastic waist is super comfortable too. I did find that the Olive colour fit a bit differently than the Black but not substantially so.
- Cashmere sweaters – I now have 3 of these sweaters, two turtlenecks and one crew neck. They are affordable and I love the cuff detail. I live in these in the winter months.
- Toothpick Jeans – I was upset that all my jeans just seemed to be tired not too long ago and tried these on a whim. I have them in charcoal black and the dark rinse. They are now my absolute favourite skinny jeans in my closet as the higher waist and stretch holds me in perfectly. I am watching for them in more washes.
- Avery Pant – Banana Republic has a number of different cuts for their trousers. I tend to stick with the Avery pant as it fits me the best but the Logan works ok too. I do find that they vary the fabrics they make these pants quite a bit (wool, cotton, polyester) and the fabric can make or break the fit oddly enough. I do have a bout 3 pairs of the Avery pant in my closet right now.
- Work out pants – I bought two of these workout pants as they were a dupe for the super trendy Outdoor Voices but a fraction of the price. I was pleasantly surprised to find they are compression leggings which means they feel like a bit thicker material that holds you in while still being stretchy and flexible.
- PJs – last but not least my favourite PJS. I have two sets of these as I like how light weight they are but are still warm enough to wear in the winter under the duvet. As I age I am not comfortable wearing heavy flannel anymore and these PJs are perfect.
What Multiples do you have in your closet? Are there items you buy more than one of or stock up on so that you will have them once they sell out?
