Spring is coming and with it will be all sorts of weather that we need to be prepared for. Whether it is April showers or just the warmer but not really warm temperatures that spring brings there is a jacket for that. Sharing my must have spring jackets for women below.
Must have Spring Jackets for Women
Trench Coat – This is the type of coat that I pull out for spring especially for my work life outfits. I have a few different styles. The traditional beige, a navy and a mac style which is single breasted. I think the trench looks really polished and can be layered up . However watch out for the sleeves. Trench coats can tend to have very tailored fitted sleeves which will limit how much you can layer. This is why I also have a mac which is more relaxed and easier to layer.

Rain coats & spring parka – Spring brings rain. And it tends to be colder rain where I live. I use my rain coat or water resistant parka for those days I know there is rain in the forecast. I tend to wear this style of coat more when I am out walking or when we are travelling. Or when it is already raining in the morning when I leave for work. Being based in Canada parkas tend to be more winterized but I do find that European brands use this for spring jacket styles as well that aren’t lined. They do have a hood and are ready for varied weather. These coats also are easier to layer than a trench for the most part. You can get thicker sweaters or a fleece under there.
Rain coats 1 (this is a true waterproof rain coat) //2 (I love the colour on this one) //3 (this is giving fatigue jacket vibes) //4 (another waterproof option)//5 (lots of colour options and great reviews)
Jean jackets – The little jean jacket is that layer I use more when we are looking at the spring to summer transition. Where it might be hot in the middle of the day but you need something extra in the mornings and evenings. I like to layer mine over dresses or pretty light cotton blouses. It gives a bit of a distressed edgy vibe or something otherwise feminine.
Jean jackets 1 (my old jean jackets are from this brand) //2 (I like the distressing on this one) //3 (really classic looking) //4 (white is a great alternative to have) //5 (stretch denim option)
Other jackets that work for spring are barn jackets (not my style but popular), field jackets (think Barbour), fleece (great for hikes and layering) even blazers are great when worn on their own. That said I think the main three at least that I prefer are the ones showcased.
Which spring jacket style do you prefer?
