I have already shared what were the most popular items according to readers. I thought I would share what were my best purchases of 2021. These don’t always line up as often the most popular items are older as it takes time for posts to gain traction in google to become a popular searched post. And sometimes the things I really like aren’t widely popular items that people are searching for. This list is going to be way longer than I thought it would be so lets dive in.
Gerard Darel Saxo Bag – I bought this second hand through Vestiaire as there is limited ways to actually shop this french brand in Canada. This bag is probably the one I use the most. I love the gold lining. It is a great size to carry a bit more than just the essentials.
Everlane Easy Shorts – these were actually gifted but I would buy another pair in a heartbeat. These were my most worn shorts all summer. I like the length and that they aren’t too tight. Why are so many shorts so short and tight?!
Madrid Big Buckle sandal – I bought these because I fell in love with the look on other influencers. But these were actually one of my most worn sandals. Birkenstocks are just so supportive and I find this style more fashion forward.
Paravel Tote – I hummed and hawed about this bag for probably half the summer. And then there were some shipping snafus that delayed it even more. But when this bag finally arrived I fell in love. It is hands down the best beach/pool tote I have had. It is roomy. Like I can fit 4 large beach towels in there and have room for more stuff. The straps are long enough to carry on my shoulder. It is just a great find in my mind. This bag now comes in different sizes.
Wrap coat – this coat is unfortunately sold out. I find that the way with great finds from H&M, if you don’t pounce they will disappear. I love the colour and the stitching detail on this coat. And that it is roomy enough to layer underneath.
Sezane knitwear – I have fallen for Sezane knitwear this year. It is just such great quality and the detail is amazing. The sweater seen here is the Scarlett but I would also recommend the Leon, or James easily.
Vince Coat – I love finding pieces through ebay or vestiaire that I missed out on previously. This coat is one of those items. It was expensive at full price but affordable via ebay a year later. If you have an elusive item that you missed out on via regular retail I recommend checking the second hand sites!
Red hat and Dad coat – I picked up this cable knit red hat earlier this season. I love that it can be worn turned up or left down. It offers a great pop of red to many winter outfits. The houndstooth coat is one of my most worn this year. I love the slouchy relaxed look.
Christmas bedding – this room brought me so much joy this Christmas season. The blanket is super cozy and I love the overall look and feel of the room. Now is a great time to stock up on this set as all the holiday bedding is on sale.
Cashmere sweater – I am a sucker for a cashmere sweater. This one is luxurious with its longer length, long cuffs and nice weight. I love that the turtleneck is one that I don’t have to roll over.
