I am really into weird shades of brown lately. Not only do they add visual interest but if you get the right shade it will be much more complimentary than the usual oatmeal brown colour everyone else is wearing. I have three different shades of brown here from the mossy green brown, the brassy and the more chestnut colour. It just all goes.
The coat is from a company called The Curated. It is a cashmere wool coat at much less than you would pay from a premium brand but the quality is amazing. It comes with a belt for closure and in a bunch of different neutral shades. I went with this mossy colour because I already have a camel coat.
Size wise I am in the large. I would say it is true to size but if you are looking for that oversized look size up. Unfortunately they don’t have XL. However the cape style coat is more oversized in fit so I would go with that. The sleeves are bracelet length so if it is cold you will need long sleeves underneath or even better long gloves.
The sweater was gifted from Everlane as it is a new shade of their $100 cashmere crew. My kids don’t like this shade but I LOVE it. It is a bit yellow undertone which is a bit more unusual than a traditional camel or oatmeal shade of brown. Same fit that I love from the Everlane cashmere. I wear theses sweaters all winter long.
I think this outfit would also work with some chocolate trousers or some cords. Even just switching out the jeans for navy trousers for work (I live in these).
The necklaces I am wearing are from Etsy. I went on a bit of a frenzy buying all the cute necklaces it seems. I love to layer them but also get super frustrated when they tangle. I still haven’t figured out how to keep them from not tangling.
