Earlier in the month we had a few cooler days. I pulled out my red trousers because I hadn’t worn them in a while and sometimes that is the only excuse I need to wear something.
To me this is a classic spring outfit for those transition days where it is cooler before we get the consistent heat of the summer. The red trousers are old JCREW. I haven’t been able to find anything similar from them in a few years. They don’t seem to make their office wear in fun colours anymore and the trousers they do have in fun colours aren’t as flattering nor in as nice of fabrics. I can’t seem to win with JCREW lately. I am hoping their new creative director can bring back some of the wearable playfulness that JCREW has been missing lately.
One of my favourite purchases this spring has been this stripe top. Usually a stripe top would just be a layering piece for me but this one has the cute tie and makes it that much more special.
When it is cool throwing on a trench for days at the office is a no brainer. I also live in mules. The black ones above and these are what I am most likely wearing.

Hello Jane, I've been reading your blog for a while and I really enjoy your picks, thank you! I have a question - did your bag come with the blue and red cross-body strap, or did you buy it separately? I am looking for a wider cross-body strap for my Opelle Lotus bag - I find the strap is a little narrow for comfort - and I haven't had much luck.
By the way, I really enjoyed your posts a while ago on the items you bought in the Sephora sale, and I also enjoy the occasional travel posts you write. Keep up the good work! 😊

Hi Patricia, first off thank you for all the kind words and encouragement. It really means so much!
I should have linked to the strap because no it didn't come with the Eleventhirty bag (also from Toronto just like Opelle). It is a Clare V strap which you can find here > https://rstyle.me/n/c4q585i52w
They come in a variety of colours and there are different lengths. I have moved mine around using it for a number of different bags that need a better/cuter cross body strap. The only issue is that Clare V doesn't have free shipping but I have yet to find their straps at another retailer.
Another option is to contact the ladies at Eleventhirty as they do make custom leather straps and they are in Canada.
