Coming up in February is the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Even though the last Winter Olympics was in Canada I feel like I kind of missed them. My life was totally different then (well maybe not totally) with only 1 child (she would have just turned 1) and blogging was still very new to me. To be honest it really didn’t register with me that much.
But this year I feel like I will be able to pay attention a bit more and not just to who is winning the Hockey games.
This is the one time that you can wear your countries heart on your sleeve, quite literally and no one will give you the side eye or assume you are a tourist.

I am loving that both the USA and Canada Teams have gone with Heritage styles. I mean how cute is that retro Toque? Or that classic Pea coat?
The last time I picked up any Team Canada Olympic gear I was in University and Roots was making the clothing. I think it might be time to show some Olympic pride and grab some of the Hudson’s Bay gear. This is my favourite of the collections they have done. What do you think? I am also really liking this grandpa sweater and the prices of the Canadian gear is actually really affordable.
When I was looking around for other countries Olympic gear I didn’t see where you could pick any up. Do other countries (UK? France? Australia? Others?) sell the Olympic clothing? Or is that a North American thing? Are you looking forward to the Winter Olympics?

This is definitely a North America thing! We tend to leave sports to men in France, mostly soccer! Anyway, I wish you a wonderful year 2014! Mafalda ❤ www.mafaldadotzero.blogspot.fr

To be honest most of the time I don't pay attention to sports. But it tends to be the only thing on TV when the Olympics are running so hard to miss. Still easy to get caught up in the momentum!
