I picked up this dress last summer from Ruche and it was the center of another one dress 2 ways post. This year I went a big more out of the box (or in the box if you are a fellow style blogger I guess) and mixed this floral dress with two different print jackets.
Part of me felt like this floral on floral combination might be a bit too much. Like a 90 year old woman’s couch threw up on me but somehow it works. Granted I would likely wear this to a more fashion oriented event to avoid having to explain the whole floral on floral thing.
The camouflage jacket and floral dress just feels easy and relaxed. To me it is a no brainer. Much like a leather jacket I would throw a camo or army jacket over pretty much anything.
Still there is something very romantic about the whole floral on floral print mix. I am following two rules of print mixing here. Keep the prints in the same colour family. The dress has a strong orange base while the jacket brightens it up but the orange is picked up in the flowers. The second rule is having one bigger print (the blazer) and one smaller (the dress).
Outfit details: Camo Jacket GAP (more options here and here), Floral Dress Ruche (love this one), Shoes GEOX, Necklace JCREW Factory.
Outfit details: Floral Blazer Zara, Floral Dress Ruche, Shoes Geox, Necklace Oak + Fort.
Which combination is your favourite?

It's funny because I prefer the blazer!

I love the look of the blazer dress combo Iva, and was surprised at how well it worked (especially in the photos), but in real life unless I was going to an event, I would go camo.

Both looks are great. I prefer the pretty dress with the camo jacket. The other is just too busy for me. I like the way the green in the camo design pulls out the green in the flower pattern on the dress. The sandals look pretty with both looks.
