Jewellery is big at the One of a Kind show. And what you find runs from beaded, precious metals and stones to fun costume jewellery.
There is one booth that has been on the handmade circuit for a long time; Danny Pollok Accessories. In fact I bought something from them back when I was a tween at the annual Southampton Craft sale of all places.
But it was Vancouver designer Toodlebunny that really gave me pause. The cameo rings are what stopped me in my tracks.
My Mother has a cameo ring from Italy and it is one of my favourite pieces of hers. So I always like to check out cameos when I see them. The ones from Toodlebunny were the first ones I really considered purchasing. And at $30 I am pretty sure I am going to grab one while I can when I go back to the One of a Kind show tomorrow.
The other items I liked were the statement earings. Some are a bit disco but many of the designs are nature inspired. Most, if not all, the designs are in a gold filigree.
Even if you aren’t going to be at the One of a Kind show this week you can pick up Toodlebuny jewellery at a few stores in Toronto; Vocado, Labour of Love and soon Love of Mine.
