This week the lovely Catherine from Not Dressed as Lamb named me one of her Top 9 Mid Size bloggers to follow. I am truly honoured to be among the bunch that she chose and thrilled that someone is shedding light on a segment of bloggers that often don’t get the same spotlight.
There are loads of girls that are a sample size substituting in for models even though they might not be as tall. There is also quite a bit of press given to plus size bloggers who prove that girls in the plus range love fashion too even though the industry may put more emphasis on their skinnier counterparts.
But what about the girls in the range of size 8 – 12? Those that are not deemed slim by fashion standards but still shop straight sizes not plus. Those of us deemed curvy. I know that there are plenty of us because when I shop the sizes that sell out fast are the Medium/Large of the bunch, not the extra small.
So I say Thank You to Catherine for calling out this segment that speaks to so many women and welcome to those of you who have found my blog via the round up. It will be a while before I can show of my winter style sense as we have another month or so to go of hot summer weather.
I wore this outfit to work today. The skirt I have had since the beginning of spring (also seen here ). The tee I picked up this week when looking through the sale section at Joe Fresh. This top was only $5 and I found it in the sleep section. Still it has the same feel as some of my fave long sleeve layering tops from Banana so I thought I would give these a go (also got it in a dark blue stripe). The tee is really soft, drapes nicely and has a good amount of length.
Outfit details: Tee Joe Fresh, Skirt JCREW, shoes Everlane Street Sandal (my review here), bag Clare V, sunglasses Celine
We are off to the cottage to pick up the kids who have been on vacation with my parents this week. Next week is back to camp!
