I mentioned last week that I bought some paper bag waist pants on sale from Nordstrom instead of shopping the Anniversary sale. These are those pants. I am pretty pumped about them.
So many styles that were popular back in the 1990s I steer clear from because I wore them when I was a teenager. Paper bag waist pants though I never wore back then as I basically only wore jeans as a teen.
These are a great drapey fit that really is flattering for someone with thicker thighs. I always worry about straight leg styles because so many say straight leg but when I try them on they are more skinny and fitted. These are a true straight leg that is straight down from the hip. They are linen so there is wrinkling unless you can just put them on and stand for the rest of the day. They feel really light and drapey so a perfect summer pant.
If you are looking something that will work for the office and weekend for the rest of summer these are your pants. Plus they will be an amazing addition to your vacation wardrobe come fall and winter if you are booking a beach vacation.
The only difference I would make the next time I style these pants is to pair them with a flat shoe like this or this. If you are on the taller side these pants might be cropped on you as they work for flats on me and I am 5’4.
Are you still shopping for summer?
