Pink Coat Trend for 2014 ⋆ chic everywhere

Last year I talked about the Pink coat. It was hailed as the coat of the season. But when it came right down to it I didn’t see that many people pick up on this trend. Sure a few fashion bloggers, and that Zara pink pea coat sold out. I even tried it on. But I went with a pastel blue coat instead of pink.

Even the Telegraph wrote an article in December last year all about how the Pink Coat, hailed as the trend of 2013 never really materialized the same way everyone thought. The gist of the article was that while there were many high fashion (read expensive) options, there were few high street options in the scheme of things.

So does that mean that 2014 will be the year that the Pink Coat hits the masses? I will be honest I am already thinking hard about this version. But the designer versions still outnumber the affordable ones at this point, but maybe that is simply because the high street shops haven’t finished with the end of season sales and switched over to Fall/Winter merchandise fully just yet.

I'm torn. I'm all for a great blazer in a fun color because I'd get a lot more wear out of it than a heavier coat (and now that you mention it - a light pink blazer sounds like something I definitely need!).

I can't get away with not having a winter coat. It is just too cold from late November to March. And since it is something I wear every day I don't mind having a few in great colours!

It's funny. I rocked a pink coat in Feb. in NYC and I was literally the only one in color. Haha! I love the trend!

When I am on the subway in Toronto I am the same. The only one in colour or leopard or whatever. Most people wear black.

I would jump on the pink coat bandwagon - though I should probably get myself a black coat first; I have tons of colors and prints when it comes to my winter outerwear, but no basics!

I have a navy pea coat but the rest of my coats are more statement coats. For so much of the year it is what people see, so I like to wear something more fun.
