We have been in our new house for just over a week. It has been fun moving in all our furniture. Seeing what works in what room. Figuring out what we need now that we have more space. Marveling at things as simple as front hall closets and a garage. All the things that our 100 year old downtown Toronto home didn’t have.
I would be lying if I didn’t say I have been making more trips to Homesense than I would like to admit (scored a great piece for our front hall). I found this rug at Target along with these sheets for my Son’s big boy bed that he has yet to sleep in. We have also been popping into local thrift stores to see if there are any projects, like old dressers or mid century furniture, that might need a pick me up.
I took these photos on the same street as the post from earlier this week. I think I like this background better. It is an easy place to pop over to but still on the hunt for a great spot to take outfit photos. I might have to admit that venturing a bit further from home than I have in the past is going to make the difference.
Outfit details: Flamingo blouse Madewell (ON SALE!), birdcage skirt 424 Fifth (only at Lord & Taylor or Hudson’s Bay), clutch, booties (yes I love them!) Micheal Kors.
I posted this outfit on my Instagram feed this weekend, and Marie Rao the designer for 424 Fifth mentioned that they will be making more of the birdcage skirt I am wearing in more colours for fall. SO Excited!
