I was pleasantly surprised that when I looked through these pictures I still liked the look of this red hat with my grey hair. It hits differently for sure, but it still works. I am still figuring out what colours work and what doesn’t with my new hair. I find darker bolder colours work better than lighter colours. Light camels and beiges really wash me out because I don’t have the dark hair to contrast anymore. But red thankfully is still a colour that works for me. I mean my skintone hasn’t changed so it isn’t that surprising but you never know.
This is an outfit I wore to work this week. Although I swapped out for this sweater and the boots just arrived so I wore these instead.
These boots are fantastic and go so well with the cool greige pants. I will do a separate review post because I think they are a great buy.
The pants are also great if you like cords but want a different shape from the same old wide leg that is everywhere. These are more of a barrel leg shape but not so exaggerated as some of the jeans. This colour is sycamore brown.

On my list of posts to do is styling a houndstooth coat. This coat reads as dark brown but it is actually a brown and black houndstooth pattern. I really love the menswear vibe of this coat but I know pattern can turn some people off. I want to show how versatile this coat can be and how pairing colour ( like red) can give you more options than the usual black.
