Pull out your jean jacket – its BACK!

I have had a jean jacket in the back of my closet for years. I would pull it out every once in a while but it was in no way a wardrobe staple since I travelled through Europe 8 years ago!

Just like every decade has a resurgence, this year there are some echos of the 1990’s in the current spring collections. One to note is the jean jacket. No not the oversized, I stole it from my boyfriend jean jacket from back in the day. This time the jean jacket is shrunken to fit a women’s body and the washes are sublime.

The key to keeping the jean jacket modern? Make sure you are wearing one that is scaled to your frame, almost shrunken when compared to the 90’s versions. Like Ritchie, pair your jean jacket with non denim. If you want to pair it with denim, make sure the washes are different; try a white jean.

You could also pair your jean jacket with another 90’s staple the flower print dress. To make sure the outfit comes off thoroughly modern is to make sure both are updated versions of the old favourites.
