If there is one type of weather I really don’t enjoy it is rain. So I am always looking for new rainy day outfit ideas to survive the wet weather.
Rainy Day Outfit ideas:
The first thing you need to survive wet weather is a rain coat. While I love the classic trench coat look I prefer something with a hood to stay dryer in the rain. I am wearing the Joules Coast print waterproof hooded jacket. I can not resist a good stripe! The Joules jacket has a gorgeous flower print on the interior lining which just makes the jacket that much better. Also the deep hood is perfect for keeping dry.
Another must have for a great rainy day outfit is an umbrella. Not an umbrella that will go inside out in the wind, or barely keeps the rain off, one that actually works. I prefer the Fulton Birdcage umbrella because the shape allows my head to be fully protected. Also because it is clear it does not impede my view. I hate when I am walking around under an umbrella and I can’t see anything!
The last of my rainy day outfit ideas is a great pair of boots. Because I have wider calves and shorter legs I tend to go with shorter boot styles. The biker boots I have on above are from Hunter. Unlike their classic styles with are more preppy these add a bit of edge. I have a cheap pair of chelsea style rain boots from Joe Freshwhich area great short style but are much lighter. But you can tell they are of inferior quality once you put on the Hunter boots and feel the weight of real rubber.
Outfit details: Coat Joules (check out the longer styles too, this brand offers great quality), top Old Navy, Jeans 7forallmankind, boots Hunter, umbrella Fulton.
