Tis the season to pull out anything red that you own. I love a red coat at this time of year. I picked up this one recently because I wanted something different from what I have in my closet (seen here). This is more of a blue red as opposed to an orangey red.
Originally I thought I wanted more of a wrap coat but I am really happy with this option.
This coat is a polyester wool blend with 46% wool. It feels almost like it drapes which is nice that it doesn’t feel too stiff. The coat almost has a loop texture to it adding to the visual interest. I got the extra large because the size chart said that was an EU 44 or US 12. I would say that this brand skews a bit more to the juniors sizing as a large is a size 10. That said there is loads of room in this coat for layering, so if you want something more fitted keep that in mind.
You might have noticed that my poor cedar tree has died. I actually went out and got all new plants for my planters as some had more summery flowers and another had a boxwood that died this year after a wasps nest developed in the soil. Next session of photos I will have a whole new look for my patio. But it did motivate me to learn how to change colours in Lightroom. The trees look more lively but I don’t know it still looks kinda fake? Or is that just because I know the tree is dead?
This scarf has been sitting in my closet for ages. I am so happy that it will be cold enough to wear it soon. It is quite large which is my favourite to survive winter in Canada. I love the subtle plaid and it is fringed on the sides so you get more of a fringed look that you do when the fringe detail is on the ends of the scarf. It is very soft. Highly recommend.
Do you bring out a red coat for the Christmas season?
