I have had a few different versions of red pants over the life of this blog. Both of my earlier pairs were from Joe Fresh; one pair of cords that ripped after a season of wear, the trousers were upgraded for my current JCREW faves.
What I love about red pants is that they make a big statement but really they go with so many things. Red pairs just as well with black as it does with tan and leopard. But I think I love how it can work with other bright colours, orange, purple.
In fact saying that this is Red Pants 5 ways is actually a bit of a misnomer as one of these posts actually styles them 3 ways. It is like a bonus post bringing the tally up to 7 different ways I am wearing red pants.

How would you wear red pants?

I was just thinking about red (because I have a red dress that I like but don't wear very often). It's a hard colour to match with other colours. White looks too Valentiney, Green looks like Christmas. Blue makes me think of the 4th of July, and black is too harsh. I really like what you have done mixing red with patterns and prints... looks great! Thanks for the insight.

If you want to avoid looking like a holiday the best colour to go with is a camel or tan. Looks so luxe. Or leopard!

I am not sure I could pull them off. You rock them every time, but I feel like I would end up looking like a christmas elf. One of my best friends wore a pair of red Zara pants forever and they made her look like a supermodel. xo Emma http://strollingthecityinheels.com

Sometimes it is just having the confidence to wear them! I love them, but red is one of my favourite colours.
