When I saw this scallop trim blouse in a contrast black to the white silk I knew it was a classic to snap up while I could.
This blouse is so lady like it is a nice contrast to the plaid button downs I seem to be accumulating. And it is rare that I would button up every last button on a blouse but it totally works with this one.
Since I was really feeling the whole lady like vibe of the blouse I paired it with more lady like items in my closet. A tweedy jacket and a full skirt worked with modern studs. I paired the look with tall flat boots to give it a bit of edge and lets face it they are just easier to walk in.
I would love to see how this blouse works when paired with something like boyfriend jeans or leaving it untucked with some dark skinny jeans. The contrast would work great I think.
One of the reasons I had to have this blouse was that it is real silk as opposed to all the polyester that usually is found at Banana Republic lately. It was a refreshing surprise. It is sheer so a camisole is required.
Outfit details: Tweed jacket JCREW (old – similar), scallop trim blouse Banana Republic, red skirt 424 Fifth (old), earrings Bauble Bar, sunglasses Prada
