Sezane Gina Jumper Review

The last few years I have totally missed out when Sezane had a leopard knit. And earlier in the fall I was very disappointed when the leopard knit they released was sleeveless. So when the Gina sweater dropped it was added to cart super fast. This is my Sezane Gina Jumper Review.

Sezane Gina Jumper Review

The Gina Jumper is a classic crewneck style made with mohair and wool. It is fairly lightweight knit but it does have quite a bit of fuzzy texture due to the mohair. I personally find the mohair mix slightly itchy but soft. But if you are sensitive to mohair you might want to stay away as I find this one pretty fuzzy.

Size wise I followed the size chart and got the XXL which is a EU 44 or US 12. I have talked about this before but the size chart was changed for knitwear in the past year or so. Now that a large is a size 8 and there are more exact sizes as opposed to size ranges I have stuck with this size.

I do find that the sleeves long. But not so long they can’t be pushed up a bit. The description calls this sweater slightly oversized. It is nicely relaxed but not so roomy that you need to size down.

The one defining factor is that this is a leopard print sweater on a pale background. It isn’t just that the background is a paler brown but the spots are more muted as well. The over all look is softer. When I compare the Gina Jumper to the Gio Jumper, the Gio comes off darker and punchier. If the Gio had sleeves I would definitely buy it too!

I have had animal print sweaters before (from peak JCREW) but I think this one is my favourite so far. I like the soft fluffy texture. I like the relaxed fit. I like the lightweight feel. And I like the hem at the neckline.

Would you wear a leopard print sweater?
