Sometimes there is a new season release and I am instantly drawn to one item. The colour the style something tweaks my interest and I can’t get it out of my head. This sweater the colour drew me in first. The Sezane Lauren Jumper Review will share why the colour might be perfect green but the rest of the knit is pretty perfect too.
Sezane Lauren Jumper Review
As I said above the green of this sweater caught my eye. It is kind of an off green. Almost a vintage bottle colour. I also liked the shape of the Lauren Jumper but that doesn’t always translate from the model to my body. Still just by looking at it many boxes were ticked. High neck, loose sleeves and a bit of a relaxed boxy shape is the type of knitwear I am drawn to.
Size wise I got the XL which Sezane says equates to a US 12. Sezane changed their size chart recently and where previously the XL was more of a range, now it seems to be a specific size. Based on this chart a Large is a US 10. So whereas in the past I would oscillate between a Large and extra Large I think I will stick with an XL now. I can’t say for sure that the sizing of the actual items has changed but I think it has based on the way things are fitting lately.
Sezane describes this knit as slightly oversized. I don’t think it is oversized at all. It feels relaxed and comfortable but not too big. So unless you want things very fitted I would not size down.
Don’t be turned off by the yak wool. I didn’t know what that was either when I first looked at the details. But I did a bit of reading and besides the obvious that it is the wool from a yak I found that the wool is warmer and softer than cashmere.
Feel wise it does feel like cashmere. But not the cheap kind that is super thin and very soft. This has more weight to it and will get softer with wear. I can’t say yet whether it will pill like cashmere. It is heavier than alpaca wool but feels very warm.
The high neck is more a mock neck style as you don’t turn it down like a turtleneck. That said it does feel doubled up compared to the rest of the sweater which gives it more sturdiness. I am not sure that I want my sweater to be sturdy but I don’t want my high neck to be flopping down or drapey like a cowl neck.
I find that Sezane high neck sweaters tend to be a bit more snug than other brands. This one is no different.
Over all the Sezane Lauren Jumper Review is that this is a great purchase. I LOVE the colour. I like the loose sleeve cuff. I like where the sweater hits at the top of the hip. Not long but not cropped. Probably one of my best Sezane purchases in a while.
