Sezane Leontine Jumper Review

The Leontine sweater from Sezane is one of their iconic knitwear pieces that gets made again and again. And it is one that sells out time and again too! Sezane Leontine Jumper Review

The Sezane Leontine Jumper is an organic cotton sweater with a round neckline with a henley style front button placket. The sleeves are slightly balloon in shape and full length.

Most Leontine are striped but there are a variety of different colourways. The classic style that seems to be made again and again is the Ecru with Navy stripes. I have the flip of that in the navy with ecru stripes. There is also a pink stripe, rainbow and camel.

Size wise I went with my larger Sezane size. The Sezane guidance is that if you are between sizes take the larger size. I would say this is a good recommendation as I do really like the fit. The fit is more relaxed than it would have been otherwise.

The balloon sleeve gives the sweater some drape. The length is a bit cropped but not uncomfortably so. In fact I find many Sezane sweaters fit around the waist. Makes it easy to do a front tuck if you want without having extra fabric.

I have the wool version of this sweater. I think I actually prefer the cotton Leontine. Which goes against everything as I usually prefer wool sweaters. But I think that I like the weight and drape of the cotton version versus the wool.

I like this sweater so much that I would consider getting it in the Ecru and Navy stripe option which is the more popular colourway. But I hope for everyone else’s sake that Sezane will make the navy version a more permanent option.
