The Sezane Louise Jumper is a mohair merino wool mix crewneck knit. It is a great upgraded basic. Basic because it really is just a crewneck. But upgraded because it has some details that make it a bit more elevated than your typical wool crewneck. Will share why I think this sweater is an upgrade in this Sezane Louise Jumper Review.
Sezane Louise Jumper Review
I had overlooked the Louise sweater until recently and fell in love with the button detail on the sleeve.
At first glance the Sezane Louise Jumper seems like a pretty basic crewneck sweater. It is a nice thin weight which means you can wear it under any winter coat or trench.
The sweater is made of super kid mohair and merino wool. It is a lightweight warm knit. I love this style of sweater where it isn’t bulky but still super warm.
This sweater has quickly become one I have on rotation for the office. I love it paired with these trousers.
The sleeve is really what sets this sweater apart from a standard cashmere crew or other basic knit. The sleeve is slightly ballooned which is a fun feminine detail. The cuff on the sleeve is elongated and has buttons down its length.
Size wise I got a Large. The sizing recommendation from Sezane is that if you are between sizes, size down. Usually when I see that type of sizing help I go for a Large instead of sizing up. There are lots of room in the sleeves and torso so I don’t feel that sizing up is necessary.
I do find this knit is shorter that others. It hits at the waist. I find many Sezane sweaters are closer to 56cm whereas this one is 54 cm long. However it isn’t so cropped that I feel uncomfortable. I think because of the weight and texture it feels fine. I didn’t love the shorter length with the Lucas sweater (reviewed here) but that knit is a totally different texture and weight. It feels stiffer and less fluid compared with the Louise.
