The Lucas sweater is a half button up ribbed sweater that is a blend of merino wool and cotton. This sweater comes with a slightly high neck large buttons and a cropped fit. Sharing my Sezane Lucas Jumper Review about what I love and what is not as great about this Sezane sweater.
Sezane Lucas Jumper Review
I picked up this sweater back around the same time I got the Scarlett Jumper. I fell for the henley button front styling. I like the higher neck and the large buttons.
I also liked this bright pink as it is just a fun colour. This sweater also comes in navy and a stripe option but the colourways seem to sell out quickly.
One of my first reactions to this sweater is how it doesn’t feel like a merino wool sweater. The wool mix is merino wool and cotton. But the cotton content really changes the feel of the sweater. It has more structure and stiffness than I was expecting. It is however very warm. Much warmer than your average cotton only sweater.
I also wasn’t expecting the Lucas sweater to be cropped. It isn’t bad cropped but it is a fairly short fit. Most of the styling photos has this sweater tucked. The cropped style is super easy to tuck with highwaisted pants. Or even do a french half tuck.
Size wise I went with a large. Which feels great on and doesn’t feel too tight anywhere. But you can see that on me this sweater doesn’t have the same relaxed vibe, it is more preppy and fitted. Fitted feels like the wrong word because the sweater is in no way snug or tight anywhere but compared to the models the sweater hits differently. I think if I had of gone for an extra large I would have gotten more of that relaxed feel. But on the flip side I always feel like I have too much sweater when I have gone with extra large in Sezane except when the knit is thinner (like the Trudy or the Leon). My sizing recommendation would be if you want that relaxed oversized vibe stick to the higher end of your Sezane sizing. This sweater is not overly oversized to start with so keep that in mind. ***Update: I ended up giving this sweater to my daughter as I should have picked the extra large. My daughter wears a small/medium and it fits nicely oversized on her.***
Overall I haven’t worn this sweater as much as I would have hoped. I kept it because I love the colour. I love the neckline and the button front style. I don’t love the cotton sweater feel. I quite like fuzzy knits and the drape of a pure merino wool. If you prefer cotton you will like this sweater. The chunkiness is more than the Leon but less than the James. For my shape I wish the sweater hit a bit longer.

Where do you purchase your Sezane sweaters? Do you order them online? Or is there somewhere to buy them in Canada? Thanks!

There are no Sezane stores in Canada. I buy them directly from the Sezane online store. They offer free shipping and free returns to Canadians over a certain spend. You can find Sezane at resale in Canada. So like Poshmark or ebay or if you have a local resale store that is a step up from Goodwill. Sezane is mostly an online only store with some stores in Paris and London.

Thank you! Clothing companies don't really provide much do they? It is also nice to see things on someone who has a different body type to the model.
