I have had the Niels ankle boots from Sezane for close to a year now. I wore them religiously at work last winter and was really impressed with how comfortable they felt. I also how they looked as I am not usually one to wear a lace up boot. This Sezane Niels Ankle Boots Review will share all the details as to why these are a must buy boot.
Sezane Niels Ankle Boots Review
The Niels Ankle Boots are a made in Portugal leather ranger style boot. They are a flat boot with only a 1.4 inch heel and a 2 inch platform. The boots come with two sets of laces; velvet laces and cotton laces. I have the black but these boots also come in a khaki green.
The leather is very soft but that means it will also scuff easily. Still I find the soft leather adds to the comfort factor.
I really like these boots. They are super comfortable. The platform provides quite a bit of cushion especially in the heel.
There is no half sizes though. I got the 40 or US 9 because there isn’t an 8.5. They are a bit big but I wouldn’t want to size down a full size. But it means I can wear thicker socks if I want to without issues.
The other thing I really like about these boots is they are more pointed than your usual combat style boot. I much prefer an almond toe to a really wide rounded toe or square toe.

I also think the velvet laces are super fun. Just a special detail that makes these boots a bit different.
I am usually more drawn to a chelsea boot style as opposed to a lace up boot but I think these have changed my mind.
