The Sezane Romeo Bag is a messenger style cross body bag with an adjustable strap. Sezane has a number of cross body styles like the Claude and Milo but what sets the Romeo apart is the multiple full sized pockets and magnetic closure. Sharing my Sezane Romeo Bag review below.
Sezane Romeo Bag Review
The Sezane Romeo bag is a cross body messenger style. It can fit your phone and a smaller wallet easily but gets snug when adding sunglasses and keys and everything else you might carry.
There is a larger style Romeo that would fit a bigger wallet and more of what you regularly carry. But honestly on the weekends I like being able to only carry one or two things and go. The smaller Romeo may not work every day for commuting (unless you also carry a tote) but it is a great pared back bag.
I was immediately drawn to the Romeo in leopard calf hair. I have a bucket bag in leopard not nothing like the Romeo. Originally I wasn’t pulling the trigger because of the bucket clasp. I didn’t want to fiddle with it when opening and closing the bag. But it is a fake buckle clasp. It is just for show and it is actually a magnetic closure.
Inside is lined with cotton. There are two larger pockets and one smaller patch pocket at the front. There is also a slim pocket on the backside.
You can see that it has a bit of an accordion look. The less that is in the back it sort of folds in and then expands when you add more.
Size wise it is a smidgeon bigger than the Claude and the mini Milo bags. I do find it more useful because there are two bigger pockets as opposed to one main pocket. That said the full size Milo that I have I am able to fit more without having to worry much about what I am taking. I also find the magnetic closure easier access in and out of the bag. Which has its own pros and cons. Just as it is easier to get in and out of the bag to use it is also less safe.
All three bags have the adjustable straps so that you can wear it at a length that works for you at any time.
I do find myself reaching for this bag quite a bit lately. I am not sure if it is because I am a sucker for leopard or if I just like the two pocket style better? I also find the smooth black leather more luxurious but it is hard to tell because my other two bags are in embossed styles so not exactly the same.
What do you think of the Sezane Romeo Bag review? Is this a style you would buy?
