Sezane Trudy Jumper Review

The Sezane Trudy Jumper is a wool mohair mix sweater that feels light and airy on but still super warm. It comes in number of stripe options as well as solid colours. An alternative to the better known James and Leontine sweaters for someone who wants another stripe sweater. This is my Sezane Trudy Jumper Review.

Sezane Trudy Jumper Review

The Sezane Trudy Jumper is a mock neck wool and mohair mix sweater. It has workable gold buttons at the neck down the front of the shoulder. I have the navy and white option. There is also the opposite option (white with navy stripes), as well as a white with gold stripe, solid green and a solid beige option.

I chose the navy and white stripe option for two reasons. I already have the James sweater in the white with navy stripes so I really don’t need another Sezane winter sweater in the same combination and I did wear my Leontine sweater in this colour combination quite a bit in the spring summer.

I mention the James and the Leontine as these are two of Sezane’s popular stripe styles. Trudy falls in between the two. James is the chunkiest knit and has no mohair mixed in with the merino wool. It also has buttons but on the top of the shoulder instead of the front of the shoulder. The Leontine is a henley style with buttons at the front. It is a cotton sweater so for me this is not a sweater I wear through the winter as it is not a warm enough option. But it is great for spring through fall.

The Trudy sweater is warm like the James sweater as it is wool mohair mix. But the mohair makes it more lightweight and fluffy. Less chunky. Only slightly itchy, which is typical of mohair knit. If you want to stay warm without the bulk Trudy is your girl.

Size wise I took an extra large in this sweater. The size guidance from Sezane is take your usual size. This sweater isn’t oversized. There is quite a bit of overlap in the size chart with the Large and Extra Large. I probably could have gotten away with a large which I like in the James but I found the large too fitted in the Lucas. I generally prefer sweaters looser so I went with the extra large which equates to a 10/12 in US sizes.

Overall I am really happy with the Trudy sweater. I think I will get more wear out of it than the James jumper as the Trudy is more of a weight I prefer.
