It is finally spring! Which means I can finally stop wearing all the winter coats and scarves and what not that I have been sick of wearing for about the last two or so months. I can wear fewer sweaters and I can put away my winter boots. It also means I can wear flare jeans without them dragging in snow and slush.
Most of what I am wearing in this outfit is old, everything that is except for the quilted jacket. It is something I wouldn’t have really been drawn to before but I saw so many people wearing these little in between type jackets in Europe I thought it would be a nice change of pace from a trench coat for spring.
JCREW Quilted Downtown Field Jacket Review:
I feel like this jacket is like an old JCREW favourite even though it is a new item. I love the details on this jacket like the striped lining and the gold hardware. I love that it is warm enough for cool spring mornings. I love that the back has a cinched waist and that there are two in one pockets. Over the past few years I feel like JCREW products were missing these extra details and I am so glad that this jacket has them to make it worth the price.
This jacket is perfect for weekends at the cottage or for travelling like I said. It would also be great layered under the perfect rain jacket I wore in this post.
This field jacket has high ratings on the JCREW website and rightfully so. It is a great weight, soft fabric makes me want to wear it all the time. Great chic alternative to a sweater when you want to be warm but look put together.
I did snag this on one of the sales JCREW has been throwing recently. Have you noticed that they are offering new arrivals in smaller batches more frequently? They used to do one rollout per month now it seems like stuff sells out more quickly but there is new stuff weekly.
Outfit details: JCREW Quilted Downtown Field Jacket, top Gibson (my fave buy multiples!), jeans Gap Long & Lean (I wish I could find more trouser jeans), boots Everlane (reviewed here), silk scarf Club Monaco (mine is from last year loving this or this instead)
What are you wearing this spring?
