This past weekend was the first in a few months that I didn’t have to work all weekend. It felt nice to not have to actually accomplish anything but at the same time that felt so unproductive! I am hoping to spend some time in the next few months doing some small road trips. I want to visit some of the sourrounding areas that I have never bothered with before. Hiking the escarpment and seeing waterfalls close to home. This weekend however we just relaxed. I did have to get dressed to take my daughter out to a birthday party.
I have had this coat for some time, but I haven’t worn it regularly since we moved from Toronto. I figured it was time to bring it out again for some wear. I love being able to wear a fairly casual base outfit underneath a great coat. Throw on a scarf and instantly you look put together even though I might just be wearing a navy tee and black jeans.
Outfit details: Stripe coat (ASOS old, see above for options), top Banana Republic (my favourite long sleeve tees), black denim Yoga Jeans, boots Everlane (read my review), scarf Theodora and Callum, bag Opelle Creative (same style).

Thank you so much Gail! I totally agree it is a fun coat but a classic all the same. I think I took a break from it more to try something different and now it feels fresh again!
