I love a stripey knit. I feel like it can take a basic outfit and make it have some visual interest. Especially layered under a coat at this time of year it makes for a fun outfit. The stripe sweater aesthetic has so permeated the fashion world that I think at this points stripes are seen as a neutral.
Stripe Sweater Aesthetic
- Lucas Jumper – this is a wool cotton mix so if you want the warmth of wool but don’t like any itch factor this is a good option. I find this style can be a bit cropped. This one is 100% wool and fits a bit longer for a similar vibe.
- Cotton Merino Sweatshirt – this sweater looks like a sweatshirt but it is a fine knit. Again the cotton wool blend is great if you don’t do well with regular wool sweaters. I find this a bit stiffer though. This also comes in a great black and brown stripe combo.
- Textured Mohair blend jumper – this is the sweater that sent me down the stripe knit rabbit hole. I love the look of this one. It has a more drapey oversized fit and the thin stripe looks cool.
- Stripe sweater – this is a cheap and cheerful option. No wool content but has a Toteme vibe.
- Mohair Blend Jumper – yes this is the same sweater as before only in black and grey. I thought it was neat because you don’t usually see a grey stripe.
- Stripe Cardigan – This is another cheap and cheerful option that has been popular. Limited sizes remaining. This one has a similar colour combination in a 3/4 zip style.
- Trudy knit – I have this knit and I love it because it is so light weight, soft and warm. That is the alpaca wool content for you! Full review here.
