When I say the words summer bags what do you think of? I instantly think of something beachy like a basket bag. But in my everyday life I am not carrying a basket bag to work or errands. I have basket bags and I use them for pool days or beach days. So what bags have that summery look but are more practical for every day life? Sharing my Summer Bags for Everyday below.
Summer bags for Everyday
I bought this bag last year thinking it would be a great theme park bag and I didn’t even end up taking this to Universal. I used a fanny pack while at the parks. I would not suggest a bag like this unless you want to be in an out of the locker rooms all the time. However it is a cute bag for Summer. The linen fabric and khaki green work with all sorts of summery looks. I reviewed the bag here. It is quite small so really only fits a phone and small wallet. Not much else.
I got this bag off of Etsy ages ago and it has the look of something similar to a basket bag but with a bit heavier weight and not so big. I don’t love how open it is, as there is no zipper but I do love the look for the summer season.
I have had this Clare V bag for quite a while. It is the oldest bag on this roundup. In fact this bag inspired me to search out the bags before and after. They are all sisal bags. This one is smaller than the other two. I love the blue colour – it is so vibrant. Clare V doesn’t make this bag any longer so you are better off buying directly from the makers of this type of bag from Etsy.
This is the last of this style of bag. It has a longer strap that can be worn cross body. It is also the largest of the three. Less of a half moon shape and more of a bucket bag style. It also has a leather flap and drawstring which provides more protection.
This is the newest edition to my summer bag closet. I haven’t taken any photos with it yet. And it seems that this style is sold out in the raffia although they have other styles still in the raffia. I love the look of this bag. The leather is so soft and the clasp makes a big statement. It is larger than the Bash bag shown above but a bit smaller than my Sezane Milo bag. The raffia makes it very summery but I almost want to get this bag in all leather too! Note the prices include duties and taxes.
This is the bag that I have been using the most lately since I transitioned from my winter tote. It isn’t huge but I still can get my big wallet in here. There is a snap to keep it closed as well. The red is an older style but you can snag the black on sale here. Or there is a brown option as well.
What type of bag do you carry through summer? Do you switch up your bag with the seasons?
