I have worn my fair share of light wash denim. Mostly in the 90’s and aside from a pair of boyfriend jeans (ok and a pair of grey denim) I embraced the whole dark wash thing.
But right now everything 90’s is cool again. I was in American Apparel the other day and I swear it is where the 1990’s went to die; scrunchies and all.
The funny thing is, even though the denim featured below has hints of a 90’s light wash, higher waisted denim it isn’t the same. It is improved. If you doubt me pull out your Friends season 1 dvds. The jeans were even higher waisted, more straight leg than skinny. In fact by today’s standard they were down right baggy. Believe me these are better.

I love the idea of light wash denim for summer. It just feels light and easy. I mean you don’t need to pair it with much more than a white t-shirt and sandals and you have one amazing summer outfit.
