Summer Work Outfits ⋆ chic everywhere

Ah the art of summer work outfits. Dressing for the hot sweaty weather outside and still managing not to freeze with the air condition inside.

Personally I switch to lighter weight cotton pants and shirts. If I wear short sleeve blouses I make sure to have a cardigan with me. I am not sure if the cardigan is as important to others as it is to the career woman?

This outfit it typical of me for the summer so far. These lightweight cotton skimmer pants are my favourites. They do bag out a bit after wear but the fabric is perfectly light and the soft blue is so pretty. These pants come in a range of colours the ones shown here is cotton oxford.

The shirt is the factory version of the JCREW boyshirt and is probably one of the softest shirts I own. It will be great for layering once the weather gets cooler but right now I just roll up the sleeves for a more relaxed summer vibe.

Yes I am still carrying around my white tote. It has proven to be the perfect work bag as I can pack my lunch and files and anything else I might need for the day. And while is so lovely for summer.

The Saltwater Sandals are the ladies version of the classic child’s sandal. They are sweet and pretty and a bit girly but I am loving how lightweight they are and how they accommodate my feet. Funny that what is a grown up version of a child’s sandal is the one that fits so comfortably! They are nice and wide so if you are looking for a cute sandal that won’t squish your toes this one really works. I wore them with this dress recently and loved the look.
