This outfit has a bunch of items that I have had in my closet for a while but am putting together in a totally different way. It feels nice to shop my closet and create something great.
I wore this outfit to work yesterday and I will be honest for most of the day I wore these flats to wander around the office.
I got two polar opposite reactions to this outfit. First it was compliments but by the end of the day I had stares. It is funny how everyone is accepting of basic jeans and a ski jacket but if you wear something more fashion forward it is so out there. I guess I will never get over how so many people just don’t care about putting forward their best self.

Let's talk about this because it is important. WHY...really WHY is it that something that shows your true self and style and edge when worn to work ...WHY does it become a big deal. Don't people get tired of seeing the same old jeans, black cardigan, brown boots combo over and over again.
I love this look and it is so fashion forward and you just gave me some great inspiration for my leather plisse skirt so thank you.
Sometimes you really have to stop paying attentions to the reactions of people at work because clothes were meant to be worn, and since work is where we spend most of our lives that's where you should be wearing them!

Thank you so much Angie! It was actually one of the moms at school pick up that did the updown look with a smirk. But was dressed in the most boring and might I say inappropriate for the weather outfit. Oh well most of the time I am immune to the "looks" but every once in a while I catch one.
